The food was tasty and the waiter was very friendly. The decor was quite charming. That said, it took a VERY long time for the food to arrive although the restaurant did not look busy. My meal arrived cold, while my dining companion's food was piping hot.
Not a great experience. Wait staff all but ignored us. Waited for food for 50+ min. We ordered fish and there were not a lot of people, so I can't imagine what took that long. And no one came to check on us that entire time. The owner came out and checked on the tables around us but ignored us. Not sure if we didn't meet their expectations of their preferred customer, or what, but it was clear they didn't care to serve us. The food was good of what we ate, but the sour taste in my mouth from service won't go away. Ruined what I had hoped would be a good atmosphere and food. Very disappointed.
A little gem...really enjoyable atmosphere and great food, including vegetarian options.
Atmosphere is great. I love the new location! It's super cozy and inviting. The food. Ha! Always amazing, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Thank you Sweet Meadow for a great local restaurant.
Absolutely devine, me and a group of friends were visiting a friend who had recently moved to Salisbury, and she was excited to take us to this restaurant. I had the chicken and bacon salad...OMG...best salad that I have ever had...the chicken were succulent and the tomato bacon dressing to die for...the others also raved about their meals. This is a resataurant not to miss!
A great Salmon dish. The crab crumbs & sauce was delicious. Good bar , cosy atmosphere. Attentive service.
We ate brunch there this morning and it was outstanding, as always. I had the red beans and rice which is one of my favorites but my mom got the French toast and boy, what toast. The slices were about two inches thick each and they tasted outstanding. The menu and the setting is a bit eclectic but it's a wonderful dining environment and the food is excellent.
My wife and I went for Sunday Brunch and was not disappointed. Delicious food and very friendly staff. We will definitely be back to try the non brunch menu asap! This place is a hidden gem of Salisbury!
The best food in the area. The staff is second to none, and the owners are down to earth and very friendly. Great decor...by far my favorite place in the county
Expensive and.... The red beans and rice is basically kidney beans and tomatoes with a dash of chili powder served over yellow rice. Blew my mind how bland it was. I don't recommend it but the server claims he eats it once a week. Poor guy...
A treat for the taste buds.
Friendly and efficient staff. Good place for foofoo salads. Noisy at lunch time (I arrived just before 2pm) and busy but I only had to wait a minute or two for a table.
We used to love this place. My entire group of friends. But in the past short while Sweet Meadow has gone way down hill. The food is NOT what it used to be. Completely dissatisfied and will never go back. The only thing worse than the food is the employees attitudes.
Incredible food and service! The best mashed potatoes I have ever had. Do not hesitate to stop here.
Food was great, prices a little high.
Always a great time.
This place is a hidden gem, just off Main Street. The food was awesome and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend it!
One of my favorite local places for Sunday brunch.
A true gem! Very good food, nice atmosphere and good drink!
Had brunch Sunday morning. Very, very good. Lots of items to choose from. Scott and Heather always do a great job taking care of their customers. Omlets, quiche, or bacon and eggs. Never had a bad meal there. The portions are huge by the way. Our waiter was awesome.
Friendly staff, good food. Great for a quick bite.
My first time there was great! The staff as well as my waiter were very friendly! I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great food, great service 😊
What a gem! Found it through Google Assistant and we were not disappointed. I had the Italian sausage meal and it was huge with excellently prepared sausage. It came with a mountain of mashed potatoes like my Ma use to make, rustic with chunks. The kids had cheese pizza that seemed more gourmet then something you serve children--they devoured them and struggled to finish it all. Service was super friendly and lots of smiles, as a family we like that. The kids wanted to return the next night but we wanted to try other places during our short weekend stay. Will return if we come back this way! We ate early and they did fill up by the time we left so reservations may be necessary. It is more cozy then family, so great date place. My wife's cocktails were well crafted and they have an eclectic beer selection. The folks of Salisbury are blessed to have such a wonderful go-to place to have a meal.
Portobello Mushroom sandwich was bomb diggity. Loved it
The food was absolutely delicious! Loved the old building that it was in too.
Red Beans and Rice are phenomenal!! The buttermilk dill salad dressing is also delish!
Today, I treated myself to lunch at Sweet Meadow Cafe. Head Chef Jordan Walker's Salmon Sandwich was one of the specials: the salmon filet was perfectly seared and the ciabatta lightly toasted, lemon aioli on the side. Fresh greens with homemade raspberry vinaigrette beautifully completed the meal. Server Carla kept my glass full with iced tea (beer, wine and mixed drinks are available) and offered dessert, which I declined at first (SO full!) until she informed me that Chef Jordan himself had made the apple strudel: flaky crust, thinly sliced apples with just the right amount of sweetness and lots of cinnamon (vanilla ice cream optional). The cheerfully decorated restaurant was spotless and everyone observed protocol. The owner, Heather Teeter, a firm believer in cleanliness, informed me that the restaurant's filtration system cleans the air multiple times daily. All in all, I waddled out with a happy smile on my face.I highly recommend Sweet Meadow. You will not be disappointed.
The food is always fresh and the specials change daily. The atmosphere is quaint and staff is friendly.
This restaurant is a wonderful place to go for something to eat. Their menu labels dishes that are/or can be made vegetarian/vegan. The staff was very friendly and the service was as great as the food. I am a big person and the serving size for their spicy black bean burger (which came with 2 vegan friendly sides) filled me up. If you are looking for a place to eat in Salisbury NC this would be a great place to check out!
Wheelchair accessible. $$ pricing. Easy to spot in traffic. Highly recommended on TripAdvisor. Appears to be a lunchtime social scene for older/mature adults. Lots of seating. Good service. Good food. If something is wrong, the correct it quickly. Portion sizes are enough for 2. I ordered the taco special with a crispy delicious side salad. Free refills on water. Restrooms accessible.
Unique little place, was there for a private event. The staff was super friendly!
The food and the atmosphere are equally wonderful. Great staff!
The food was amazing, the service was as well. Really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely recommend it.
I was in Salisbury, NC for a meeting and this restaurant came up on my search. Looked at the menu. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Had the black bean burger appetizer and my husband had the crab cake. We didn't have to wait long. It was freshly prepared and served while still hot. Our entrees were served with short wait times by very attentive and friendly staff. My salmon salad was so good! Salmon was prepared perfectly! My husband enjoyed the porkchop dinner too. As I looked around the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by their 97.5 A rating from the Health Department! Don't sleep on this place. If your in Salisbury, this is definitely a dinner spot worth going to. Excellent service, food, atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
We were a party of 8 on a Sunday at 11:30am. The service was outstanding and the food was fantastic! Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I was very impressed with the high quality of ingredients and the care that went into each dish they served. It is a true gem among all the chain restaurants out there.
We're visiting from out of town, and so excited to have found this restaurant. The service was impeccable. Had the goat cheese app which was delicious. Loved dipping the bread in the cheese (1/2 French 😉). Salads were fresh. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet.
We left Sweet MeadowCafe a little bit ago and haven’t stopped talking about how good it was! We try to eat really healthy at home so when looking for a restaurant we found this one. We were so glad we did! The food was fresh and so delicious (and healthy)! Our server Carla was also excellent!
What a great restaurant. They have a great menu with food you don’t get everyday. They are very attentive and have a caring staff. The food is awesome. One of our favorite restaurants.
I ate lunch at this place which has a nice atmosphere. I tried the tuna melt and it was good. It came with a couple slices of bacon and a tomatoe. The place is open for dinner. I would come back.
The services could have been a little more attentive and the wait was over an hour but the food was EXCEPTIONAL! Every person in my 7 person party was thrilled with what they’d ordered. I’m hard to please with food and I was so happy with the quality of the food. It was worth the wait.
Staff was very friendly and polite. Ambiance made me feel like at home, especially when one notice tables and chairs do not match. I had the chicken pizza and it was excellent; and the chocolate mousse for dessert was amazing. Coffee was pretty good, and I had decaf! If you want to eat at a comfortable place with great tasting food, give Sweet Meadow a try.
Well-known local restaurant, casual atmosphere. We had their shrimp flatbread which had one less than medium sized piece of shrimp per slice; quite disappointing. Service was friendly and professional.
Delicious. Friendly staff. Good range of choices on the menu. Eclectic decor. Would gladly return.
One of the best places in Salisbury to eat. Excellent lunch, dinner, and brunch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.
Sweet Meadows is an AMAZING locally owned eatery with fresh, farm to table ingredients! A true gem in downtown Salisbury.
Had the best time! The staff and atmosphere were awesome. We are new in town and were trying to celebrate my Birthday. We walked all around downtown trying to just get either a seat at the bar or a good Cocktail. It just wasn't happening, decided to go back to Fisher Street(already had been), then spotted Sweet Meadow Cafe. Best decision! We had some Fantastic wine and drinks(COSMO/DELISH!) and the baked goat cheese appetizer, I mean so good😋. We will be back for more!
The waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable about our need for gluten-free. Food came out quickly. Interesting menu.
Great brunch specials and very friendly staff!
The food was delicious. Cool little restaurant..
